In 1943 the company name was changed to Nippon Onkyo, K.K. (label 1841715).
On December 29, 1945, the company name was changed to Victor Company Of Japan, Ltd.
March 1947: first post-war releases appear.
In 1972 the music division spun off into Victor Musical Industries, Inc.
Another spin-off was Nippon Phonogram Co., Ltd., established in June 1970, that handled Philips and associated labels.
