The ideas were twofold:

1. Very high sound quality - specially modified tape recorders (Revox-Studer), two-microphone technology with ORTF configuration, i.e. French radio and television microphone setup, and no dynamic limitation, no filters, no post-processing of the signal, extreme accuracy with the choice of venue and microphone placement.

2. Focus on modern classical music, not infrequently specially written for the artist and on several occasions also premiered, or alternatively rarely (recorded) classical music. For the envelope, local artists and photographers were often hired, not infrequently from the artist's circle of acquaintances, which gave a special graphic profile.
