Original Cultures

Original Cultures Records is the label side of the Original Cultures project, a non-profit organisation based in Bologna, Italy and London, UK.

Original Cultures Records was set up in February 2012 as an extension of the project's existing work and a platform to release music and art born of the events and exchanges that Original Cultures has and continues to put together. The label releases both physical and digital products, sometimes exclusively to a specific format.

The visual side of the label is handled by Paper Resistance. The A&R is handled by all four founders.

Original Cultures was set up in 2008 to connect cultures via modern performing arts. It does this via events and other activities that bring together artists from different fields with each other and the public for new experiences, and to create new art.
