Founded in 2004 in Halifax, Canada as an event production company, Stratagem became a "netlabel" in 2005 and went on to release more than 50 songs. Drawing stylistic influence from the legendary electronic music scenes of Detroit and Berlin, Stratagem's music has often been filed under minimal, techno, electro, or idm. Stratagem ceased operations in 2007.
