Ruff Mottek, P.O.T. music mastermind, is considered one of few Europeans enjoying the "respect of da inna circle" of Reggae musicians. The label's heart is its studio which so far was used by a. o. Earl "Wire" Lindo (Wailers), Mikal Rose (Black Uhuru), Vincent Black (Dub Syndicate), Tikiman (Paul St. Hilaire) and Joseph Cotton.

The label philosophy isn't only focussed on Reggae, though. P.O.T. offers a platform for acts and projects whose music doesn't necessarily have to find its way into the charts. P.O.T. regard themselves an independent label in the original sense of the word: only the amount of control needed while letting things develop on their own.
