Rundlauf Musik

The name "Rundlauf" derives from a popular ping-pong game, that is played with more than two players, who are involved to keep the ball in movement. Similarly, Rundlauf Musik offers their artist two selected samples, wich they all have to play with. Altough each sound-artist works on his own and the given samples are possibly not recognizable in the end, there is still a thematic connection between them.

Rundlauf Musik is characterized by a homogenic concept. For every production a topic is chosen and four artists are appointed. By choosing the artists and the topic and the selection of two samples, the label participates actively in the arrangement of the record. At the same time the artists do have the license for their own interpretation of the topic and the samples. Thus, Rundlauf Musik understands itselfs more as a kind of way-pointing instance. The label is not restricted to a particular genre of electronic music, but aims to integrate a multitude of styles by the selection of the artists.
