中国唱片

[Zhongguo Changpian], "China Records", is a Chinese label established in 1954, previously known as 人民唱片. Before its name became simplified, its name was 中國唱片. This label was generally stopped to use ever since approx. 1996, replaced by CRC (8).

The first series of 7" flexi-discs have in the catalog number the indication of the pressing plant, as follow:
(京) BM-XXX for Beijing plant
(沪) BM-XXX for Shanghai plant
(蓉) BM-XXX for Chengdu plant

There was also a plant in Ningbo, and maybe other cities.

This way of cataloguing was abandoned for the second series and catalog numbers read: BM-XXXXX
