Chainsaw Cassettes was an independent cassette label based in London, active between 1989 and 1992. The label released eighteen cassettes spanning industrial, experimental, ambient, spoken word and cassette culture, documenting a network of artists centred on Chemical Plant and Operation Mind Control alongside collaborations with musicians from the wider UK and international cassette underground. Two further releases (CSC016 and CSC020) were prepared but never issued.
