Permanent Record

South Africa label, Permanent Record was founded in 2014 by Rouleaux van der Merwe. The label focuses on both the new and the old: maintaining a roster of emerging, influential artists while concurrently seeking out rare, forgotten and lost recordings to reissue for a modern audience.

Not bound by any genre, Permanent Record strives to publish relevant South African artists. As such, the label focuses strongly on originality at the expense of following music trends.
