Levné Knihy KMa

Czech book and record editor, under this name active between 1998 and 2007. The company was dissolved in late 2007 and was followed by label 298503, which started business on January 1st, 2008. The brand was used after the parent company label 547548 was founded in September 1997 by siblings Jan Maivald and Helena Šimková (KMa is most likely an abbreviation for "Knihy Maivald").

How to specify credit roles:
Levné Knihy KMa was a brand, used on publications by label 547548, not indicating necessarily a label-role, but works, which were edited by the company. Mainly, the company manufactured media on its own or it was licensee for media, which was then published by the sales network of the company. This consisted on the one hand of their own outlets Levné Knihy or on the other hand, starting from 1998, they were exclusive supplier for books and media for the Czech arm of label 41750, later also for the Czech arms of label 551071 and label 206309.
Please, only grant branded releases with "Levné Knihy KMa" with a specific LCCN-credit, if the specific role is mentioned clearly on the release. In some cases, also the label role is valid. These cases are, if the branding is the only branding on release or if the catalogue number starts with "LK" or "KM". In these cases, please check, if "KMa" is part of the branding, if not Levné Knihy is the correct label here. It seems, the company was not perfectly consistent in this detail over the years.
If the brand is not further specified, please use the generic "Record Company"-role.
