Samuel Ricciuti, also known as D.B.Y. (Dog Bless You), is a DJ and music producer active since the late 1990s. He began his career in the mid-1990s producing hip-hop instrumentals with a sampler before naturally transitioning into electronic music. Over the years, he has developed a distinctive sound shaped by ambient, Detroit electro, downtempo, breakbeat, UK bass, and minimal techno influences.

Under the names Dog Bless You and D.B.Y., Ricciuti has released several albums on labels across Japan, France, Canada, and Luxembourg. His most recent release, La Science du langage—a tribute to his breakbeat roots—was highlighted by the influential magazine The Wire.

Based in Montreal, he is a resident DJ for the TEMPIO NERO nights and has hosted the monthly show VORTEX / IL CIBO on N10.AS radio for over seven years.

Ricciuti is also the founder and manager of Chez.Kito.Kat Records, a label he co-founded in 2006 with his long-time collaborator Salima. Over the past two decades, the label has released more than 100 records and organized over 200 events across Europe and North America.

Alongside his club-oriented work, he has developed a range of experimental and collaborative projects, including soundtracks for documentaries and dance performances. In 2009, he created a sound installation with artist Daniel Buren at the Musée d’Art Moderne in Luxembourg.

After more than 30 years of activity on both the European and Canadian electronic music scenes, Ricciuti remains deeply involved as a DJ and producer, with a strong focus on live performance. He has performed at respected venues and festivals, including MUTEK, and is currently part of the duo SAFIA NIHIL alongside his label partner Shadya.
